ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN BUSINESS USE:
Use AI services from Microsoft Azure quickly and efficiently
Tailor-made! You tell us your topics!
Automation creates freedom by automating routine tasks.
Dates: April 4, 2025
LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND AGENDA
Notes on the seminar: Since current technological developments are progressing quite rapidly, we are only offering one date in the first half of 2025 and will then see whether a modification of the content to new circumstances is necessary :-)
Goals:
Brief introduction to the Microsoft Azure platform
Overview of the AI modules available on the Azure platform: images, speech, text, OCT, etc.
The Azure AI Studio as a platform for developing and deploying AI solutions
Using the Computer Vision module to classify images
Classification based on own images : Training
Speech and Text : Text-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text modules
Scanned texts : Use OCR readers
Natural language processing: The open.ai studio is available for use here.
- Interface to your applications : Integration into your own processes using REST API

Module 1: Introduction to AI
In this module, you will learn about common applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and the different types of workloads associated with AI. You will then explore considerations and principles for responsible AI development.
Lessons :
Artificial Intelligence in Azure
Responsible AI
Labs :
Using the Azure AI Anomaly Detector
Module 3: Computer Vision
Computer vision is a branch of AI that focuses on understanding the world visually through images, video files, and cameras. In this module, participants will learn about various computer vision techniques and services.
Lessons :
Computer vision concepts
Computer Vision in Azure
Labs :
Exploring machine vision
Classifying images with Azure Custom Vision
Object detection with Azure Custom Vision
Facial recognition
Optical character recognition with the reading API
Automated document recognition: Analysis of documents with form recognition
Module 5: Dialogue-oriented AI
Conversational AI allows users to engage in dialogue with an AI agent, or bot, through communication channels such as email, web chat interfaces, social media, and others. This module describes some basic principles for working with bots and provides a way to create a bot that can intelligently respond to user questions.
Lessons :
Dialogue-oriented AI concepts
Conversational AI in Azure
Module 2: Machine Learning
Machine learning is the foundation of modern AI solutions. In this module, participants will learn some basic machine learning concepts and how to use the Azure Machine Learning service to build and publish machine learning models.
Lessons :
Introduction to Machine Learning
Azure Machine Learning
Labs :
Automated model creation in Azure Machine Learning
Creating a regression model with Azure Machine Learning Designer
Creating a classification model with Azure Machine Learning Designer
Creating a cluster model with Azure Machine Learning Designer
Module 4: Natural Language Processing
This module describes scenarios for AI solutions that can process written and spoken language. You'll learn about Azure services that enable you to build solutions that analyze text, recognize and synthesize speech, translate between languages, and interpret commands.
Labs :
Exploring Text Analysis
Exploring language with Azure language features
Translate text and speech with Azure AI Services
Creating a language model with Azure AI Language: Leveraging Language Understanding
Creating a bot with Azure AI Language and Azure AI Bot Service: Implementing a bot based on FAQ texts (or terms and conditions)
CONTENTS
Automation creates freedom by automating routine tasks. Routine tasks should be performed by computers, as they can do them much better than humans. This allows us to return to our core tasks: customer contact, designing solutions, and much more.
Microsoft already provides a very powerful automation tool with Robotic Process Automation (RPA). In addition, Microsoft has created Cognitive Services. These include modules for automatic anomaly detection in data, tools for using computer vision, tools for natural language processing (which can also be used to create chatbots), and tools for visually creating machine learning models, including deployment.
Robotic Process Automation makes it possible to automatically capture a field containing the invoice number in an invoice and make it available for further processing. Cognitive Services offer even more: The document can first be scanned and prepared, and then the invoice number can be captured using Cognitive Services, even if it is not spelled exactly. Cognitive Services can also capture additional document content. Cognitive Services can be used independently or integrated into Robotic Process Automation.
